1. Maybe we need to PM everyone and ask them back. |
|
I know I've had hands full.
What do you think? Like -- Friday or Saturday?

I know this forum is for us, but I have avoided it for some reason... like I am avoiding all the documentaries about New Orleans.
About all I can do is kick and recommend threads.

4. Better avoid "The Weather Channel" too then, it's been "All Katrina... |
|
...All the Time" for the last few days, and all of next week too, I think.

It really sucks (for me) because I have to watch the weather because of Ernesto, and whatever else may come our way. I am glad, though, that the Katrina disaster is getting more coverage. Folks need to really know what we went through, and what we are STILL going through.

6. here is a hug for you and all there. |
|
 I cannot imagine how it is to be living there, can only send my good wishes and hopes for better and brihter times, support as I can, and though am glad for Katrina coverage, can see how it can add to the overall stress for you. again.

7. I will never get over Katrina for a moment, I saw the aftermath. |

It was a battlezone. I still can not talk about it to anyone who was not directly involved. I have to walk away from the conversation. (with tears) And I was just a volunteer for search and rescue, lived at a FEMA camp & worked in NOLA during the day looking for animals. My utter shock recovery came when I got home to TN to my own precious pets and intact old farmhouse in TN.

10. Hanging in there and still trying to get my footing. |

The anniversary was tough on a sensory level which made the emotions whacky, all Katrina all the time, footage and specials and footage and rememberances.
It will take years ...

I have used you as a red tape example to a couple people recently. They were appalled. Don't know if it will change them at all, or if they will do anything, but still. Hang in there, cuddle the pups and hang in there.
