Retired attorney. Re-drafting resume after many years, wondering whether I can/should eliminate dates, as my last 'job' was in 2006. (Looking to work as volunteer.)
Thanks

2. What sort of volunteer work do you want to do? |
|
When my husband had to do court ordered community service, we found out that some organizations were picky about who they let volunteer. That said, if an organization needs volunteers, it usually is filled on a first come basis rather than a competitive thing if they think you are the type of person they want in their organization. Some specific volunteer positions might be competitive I suppose. I think that many organizations want retired people to be involved because they usually have more time to devote to the organization so I think that it is fine to put that on your resume.
