I was just released from my old job today without much warning because I apparently violated a security rule I did not know existed. And I don't remember anyone telling me about it. Where can I look? And, is there any way for me to be less upset than I am now. I am extremely upset because of the way it was done.

While you are doing that, get your resume together and start looking on Monster.com and craigs.list to start.
Try to keep a positive attitude, and convince yourself that this may be a wonderful opportunity to find a job that will be much better than the one you had.
Having just been fired in a disgusting way, I can empathize, and am also trying to keep positive.

That's what's been bothering me. I don't remember being told it was verboten to use the stairs. My father, who is a manager at another company, thinks it was because someone really wanted to get rid of me and was looking for an excuse to do so.
