OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — A construction worker who was hurt in a fall while building Qwest Center Omaha has been awarded $21 million for his injuries.
Ronald “Tim” Bacon had filed a product liability lawsuit in Douglas County District Court against DBI/Sala, the maker of a safety line that failed in his 2003 fall. On Wednesday, a jury ruled in his favor.
Bacon’s attorney Robert Pahlke says Bacon fell 12 feet while working on second-floor fire escape and fractured his back, rendering him a paraplegic.
