Big protests in Madison, WI this week against Governor Walker's ban on collective bargaining for public employees. Thousands showed up around the Capitol today (10,000 is the number I'm hearing), and protestors continue to protest in the Capitol Rotunda all night as I post this. Police and firefighters, though exempted from the ban, joined in with the protestors. Even the police providing 'crowd control' at the protest. Additional protests have been held by union supporters, both public and private, around the state all week. The hearing regarding the budget bill is still ongoing as far as I know.
