Ruby Ridge sues workers and UFW in attempt to shut them up

Ruby Ridge went ahead and did it. Yesterday, on February 17, it was announced that the UFW and 17 workers are now defendants in a lawsuit filed by Ruby Ridge. Amazing.

It’s clear to us that the real intent of the lawsuit is to try to quiet workers and get the UFW to stop supporting them. Isn't it enough that these workers suffered threats, intimidation and had to work through their rest and lunch breaks? Isn't it enough that Ruby Ridge fired them when they stood up for their rights?

Now, in a apparently desperate attempt to shut these workers up, Ruby Ridge is suing them and the UFW. We believe this is a clear example of Ruby Ridge retaliating against its employees for standing up to Ruby Ridge and asserting their rights to work under legal and safe working conditions.



Let’s be clear. This lawsuit is really about getting the tens of thousands of supporters who’ve spoken out in the past to be quiet. If the workers are spooked into submission, then word of what’s really going on won’t get to you. Workers at Ruby Ridge need your support more than ever.

Let these workers know that you support them, and that you will not allow the owners of Ruby Ridge to threaten them into silence, by taking a new action today.
