Labor leaders from across the state will be addressing current issues on Monday at the Michigan AFL-CIO building.
Representatives from the AFL-CIO, the American Federation of Teachers Union, UAW, and others will be in attendance.
They will discuss what they call the nationwide assault on workers and the middle class, the Emergency Financial Manager Bills package, and the new budget proposal from Governor Rick Snyder.
They might also reference the inspiring demonstrations in Wisconsin that brought together nearly 30,000 people in protest of the Governor's anti-union, anti-worker bill.
Other topics will be how the budget affects our cities, schools, and local governments, and what Governor Snyder has called "shared sacrifice".
