Brothers & Sisters,
Madison, Wisconsin based Workers Independent News (WIN) has produced a one-hour documentary on the Wisconsin worker uprising of February and March. Pacifica Radio called it "riveting from start to finish". Based on weeks of reporting from Wisconsin's capitol in Madison, the documentary is an inspirational, vivid account of what Pacifica describes as "blow-by-blow street radio".
I edited and produced the documentary, called "This Is What Democracy Looks Like - Wisconsin;s Worker Uprising". WIN is making this documentary available for individual or bulk purchase and the proceeds support the daily labor radio newscast WIN produces. Our news is heard on approximately 200 radio stations around the country.
In a show of solidarity and support my union - AFTRA - bought hundreds of copies. If you haven't heard this documentary please consider buying a copy at www.laborradio.org
I would encourage you to also ask your local or international union to buy copies of the documentary, either on CD's or in the form of download cards. WIN is the only national daily radio headline newscast focused on labor. We put labor's voice on the national radio news airwaves every day and right now we could use some solidarity and support on this documentary!
Solidarity,
Doug Cunningham
