And be aware that it's hurricane season.
Also, I recommend buying Steven Birnbaum's Guide to Disneyworld and Disneyworld for Dummies (yes, such a thing exists). We went in July 2005 and I found both books helpful.
Are you staying in one of the hotels in the park itself? If not, you can get some really, really good deals on villas in Kissimmee, which is what we did both times we went, renting a 4 BR villa about a 10-minute drive from the Magic Kingdom, with every modern convenience you can think of, including washer/dryer, internet access, cable and a good-sized swimming pool - all for less money than it would have cost to stay in one of the resort's hotels.

We were having a heck of a time cuz park food is ick and the better food is ex-pen-sive. Finally one of the maids directed us to a little shopping center right outside the Buena Vista gate that had a grocery store, TGIFridays, etc. Wohoo, that was a lifesaver. We stayed at Disney property both times because you get in early and we used our perks for a character breakfast and it was just more convenient. We would do a park until about 2, change, water park, relax, dinner and Epcot or Pleasure Island or some such at night. The luau at SeaWorld is cheaper and pretty fun, it's still one of the things my kids remember most, 10 years later. I agree on buying the books, but once you get there, just roll with it. There's always something fun going on, you'll never get to see everything anyway.
Oh, and for swollen feet, I took an OTC diuretic. I don't even know why I had them, but they made a big difference. Obviously don't dehydrate yourself.
Sounds like fun. We won't be going back until wee-grandchild is 3 or so.
