I'm going to the Florida Keys this week!

I'll be leaving after work on Thursday evening. I'll stay my first night in Miami, and drive down to Long Key in the morning. It's my first dive trip after getting my open water cert. I have one day of diving planned so far, with a dive master accompanying me, since I am a buddy-less newbie. After that, depending on my confidence and skill level, I may hook up with some folks I met on a scuba community online.

Other than diving, I also plan to visit Key West for one evening, for the sunset festivities.

I've been to Key West several times; very entertaining! If you think of it, they sell nice leather sandals in Key West, or used to. And as I recall, they weren't too expensive.
Have fun and pls. give us an update on how it went!

and watching the sunset at Key West is fabulous, like a little party each evening to appreciate something most of us don't notice anymore.
