Starting to plan a honeymoon in Maine - any advice?

We're looking at spending 6 days up in Maine for our honeymoon, the last week in June 2007. The focal point of the honeymoon is Acadia NP and teh surrounding area. Does anyone have any tips or stories to share about staying up there? We're on a pretty tight budget, so we're not looking to stay anywhere fancy. I just got teh Frommer's guide to the Maine Coast, but advice from folks who've been there, done that is more valuable in my opinion.

Things that are definitely on the agenda include:
Whale and puffin watching cruise
biking and hiking
exploring

Any thoughts?
