Anybody here ever gone on Elderhostel trips?

I'm considering going on one this summer. I never have before.

My first encounter with them was when I was attending a summer session for language teachers at the University of Hawaii.

An Elderhostel group was staying in the same dorm. They were obviously having a fantastic time.

2. My mother used to go on them

She loved them and always had a good time. My in-laws did it once and didn't like it but they expect more upscale surroundings.

3. Update. I have been on two Elderhostel trips now.

One to Churchill, Manitoba (summer 2 years ago) and one to Utah to see the Grand Canyon and other canyons.

I enjoyed both of them. I recommend Elderhostel.
