This article is about a known traitor who is from Democrat Underground, a treasonous site that has been investigated by the Secret Service and the FBI for threats against the national leaders. The Miami Herald has been notified that they are attempting to make false charges against the Miami Police.

Obviously the cops felt that they needed to control the small area around them while they were doing their investigation. They had no idea who this traitor really was and therefore could not determine if he was a threat to them or not. Better safe than sorry.

These same traitors will call a cop at the first sight of any political confrontation in the street too.

4. In a way, I don't want to promote that slime by doing that.
Carlos knows we're here for him. And, to my mind, that's the most important thing right now.

When you are abused by the police, the trauma can be pretty bad. I want to take my cue from him right now.

6. i posted earlier, plus a note of consolation
i know a journalist, roberto rodriguez, who was pounded by the LA Sheriff for taking their photo. Rodriguez was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The camera. He eventually won a big fat check from The Man. then he went through years of paranoia knowing there were badges out there with his name on them. Read Justice: A Question of Race.

7. Is it paranoia when you fear something in shared reality?
I was once arrested for crying in my living room while my white (looking) husband was having a real paranoid episode.

The arrest was demoted to a "detention", whatever the hell that means - probably a legal term to minimize their liability.

I'm very concerned about our journalist vatos. Twice the opportunity to be abused. :(

8. Hey sfexpat2000
Thanks for all the support over this incident. This is not going away any time soon. My arraignment is on Wednesday and that should only be a few moments, long enough for me to enter a "not guilty" plea.

Once I clear myself of my criminal charges, which I am very confident I will, then I can proceed with a civil suit against the police.

The Society of Professional Journalists have been supporting me 100 percent through this tribulation.

First they sent a letter to Miami Mayor Manny Diaz and Miami Police Chief John Timoney demanding an investigation into the arrest. Then they agreed to provide a $1,000 towards my legal fund. And then they acquired one of the nation's top media lawyers to represent me pro bono during my civil suit.

It's all on this link.

http://www.spjsofla.net/spj/foi_miller

The $1,000 SPJ gave me will pay for the criminal lawyer I am going to hire next week. I spent all last week talking to various criminal lawyers and I found one I like. The publisher of www.category305.com - the site I was on assignment for that night, is also putting up a $1,000 towards my legal funds.

And the lawyer I chose agreed to take $2,000 although he normally asks for $2,500 as a retainer. I'm hoping he can get this dismissed without having to go over the $2,000.

Of all the criminal lawyers I spoke with last week, he was the one with the one with the lowest profile. Also the one who charged the less.

But he also seemed the most aggressive and seemed the most interested in my case.

10. Yes, everything is working out, but this is still consuming much of my time
However, it needs to be done or else the cops will continue squashing our First Amendment rights. Here is the latest article, complete with Freeper comments at the bottom.

14. Hell, even if I doesn't go over the $2k
I say we still have the party.

The Society of Professional Journalists said they will be in a position to grant me more money if it does go over. They've proven to be true.

18. It's a great group. They support projects like those newspapers
that the Homeless Coalition publishes and then gives to street vendors so they can sell them. Good people.

13. They postponed it
I got the notice yesterday. No reason given. No rescheduled date given.

My lawyer said they've been doing it to a lot of cases so I guess they're backlogged, thanks to all the dumb arrests.

16. That would be a sucker's bet
If they don't drop it before the trial starts, then they'll be forced to drop it when we put each one of the cops through a deposition, where they will be sworn under oath to recite the story.

I almost want this to happen.

17. They've already lost the criminal case. The question maybe
if a dropped criminal case helps you more than a botched one.

19. That's a good question
A botched case might help in my civil suit, but a dropped case might be quicker (as well as cheaper) and allow me to proceed with my civil suit.
