Yesterday on Washington Journal, there were a number of

people who called in to talk to Gov. Easley of NC to rant against the Latino population.

I guess we're all supposed to disappear.

He was talking about some really useful strategies to stem the drop out rate among high school students. In general, he seemed to me to be on the side of solving problems, not continuing them.

But, in response to one racist asshole, he began his response:, "Well, they aren't ALL illegal."

I have to add: This is a man seemed to believe his job is to provide the best education for any kid that lands in one of the schools he is responsible for.

But, I found that reaction very telling. "They aren't ALL illegal."
