I'm just curious who our traitors are per CatWoman's post about African Americans in GD. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x1696653I nominate Alberto Gonzalez and John Negroponte both whom seems to have torture and murder following them in their wake while they kowtow to their Republican overlords.

Who do I start with? Rep.(R) John Quinonez a Republican-Puerto Rican in my opinion the worse form of treason, Sen. Mel Martinez a wacko.
Although I know General Sanchez was following orders from his Commander in Chief, Abu Ghraib happened under his watch.
Those are the only ones I can think of right now.

3. I hate to use the term Traitor... |

but prefer to refer as people we need to teach why the Republicans are bad for them. I'm currently working on a few. Who knows, if we all try to help others realize how the Reps aren't good for Hispanics, it just might add up to help us defeat the Repubs in the elections in the future.

4. What we need is to have political discussions on local and |
|
national spanish speaking stations and invite latino politicians, of both parties to explain what they and their party stand for in regards to our problems. And how the democrats, overwhelmingly, work more for their interests than the republicans as far as bread and butter issues go and not the "hot button" issues the the repugs are famous for in dividing us.

you can only teach and talk for only so long. As was mentioned in another thread, some Latinos vote Republican out of self interest and religious convictions. The "I got mine, who cares if you get yours" mentality comes to mind.

6. Negroponte no es hispano. Nació en Londres, su padre es griego |
|
He went to Exeter prep school and Yale. Like GW Bush, he's from a rich family and has led a life of privilege.

that butcher. I thought from his surname and the fact that he did some of his dirty work in Latin America that he was.

8. What about Linda Chavez? |

She is against bilingual education from what I understand.
As for Puerto Ricans (my heritage) I always think of Chita Rivera. Famous Broadway star who is very ashamed of her heritage.
