2. Si todos!
Particularly since we don't have a government that responds to these disasters anymore.

3. Quando vi la manera that this criminal regime acted during Katrina
I knew that we were next.

So I spent weeks putting together a disaster kit. It's silly in a way because you can't by definition prepare for the unexpected. :silly:

But, today, we can shelter in place for two weeks or grab our "to go" bags and evacuate. I haven't stocked cigarettes or money for bribes. Somehow, that never gets done. But everything else is right here in the closet.

I never imagined that I'd have to plan for the delinquency of my government.

4. During our last earthquake, we were able to survive because
we could use our travel trailers for cooking and electricity. (Travel trailers are great in earthquakes because they are constructed to bounce on the road and are self contained.)

I'm with you I don't trust my government under Bush to get anything accomplished at all except to steal the emergency funds. To me the most egregious mistake in Katrina was not sending in whatever transport they could to evacuate all the residents to a safe place until the hurricane was over.

This stood out to me as the biggest racist statement the GOP could make. If you couldn't afford to leave, you had to stay behind and possibly die. I'm so thoroughly disgusted with Bush. He couldn't stop his vacation to go back to Washington to get his people together to do something like this.
