The google isn't helping me. My stepmother is dying and my little sister in Fairfax CA needs help

I found out recently that my stepmothers breast cancer has progressed to the point where she need oxygen. I'm not totally clear on the details, I'm not very close with my step mother and my father is not the most open person but from what I can gather she is very sick getting sicker and will probably die soon.

Unfortunately it seems like my little sister is not doing well. I think some of this is because my father had for some reason decided not to tell her; I didn't find out about that until a couple weeks ago and I confronted him and told them that they had to because the kid knows something is wrong even if you don't tell them. But back to my little sister the most important part of this, apparently in the past few months she has completely socially isolated herself (shes 11) and no longer has/spends any time with any friends or people her age outside of school. I have also been told that even when she is in school that she has basically totally isolated herself from fellow students and teachers. I think that she really need to spend some time with children who are going through the same thing if we re going to give her the best chance of coming out ok on the other-side of the storm that her mothers death will bring.

I tried to check on the google to find something for her in Fairfax CA but I didn't find anything that seemed right. Perhaps I just don't know the right keyword to look under. If anyone has the time to clue me in on how to look it would be awesome. I want to talk with my father soon about getter her involved with something.

1. Gilda's Club usually has a group for kids.

I wouldn't rule out counseling with a grief therapist either....one that's good with kids. I thought my teens were handling my cancer well when in hindsight I should have gotten them counseling.

Many hospice organizations have community outreach and all kinds of counseling. This one is on Sir Francis Drake BLVD in Larkspur.
