A new appreciation of the deaf by me (I have swimmer's ear right now) |
|
I can't hear out of my left ear, and it has affected me greatly in the last two days. My right side ain't picking up much either as things seem somewhat muted and lopsided.
I do a lot of conference calls for work, and general phone calls to other managers in the bank. One does not realize how hearing affects us so much until we lose it some I guess. From TV to the phone, to hearing my little girl.
What trials and tribulations have hearing impaired DU'ers had? What can make things better?

1. Be upfront with people that you have a hearing problem |
|
ask them to face you when they talk and speak clearly, not necessarily louder. Good luck and hope your hearing improves soon. You have seen a doctor about it, haven't you? If not, do that because you don't want it to become permanent.
