Does anyone know of a decent ASL program for adults in Boston?

Sniffa and I want to take ASL classes, as he is a tad over 50% deaf, and could be moreso in the future, and the fact that we want to have a kid at some point, and don't know whether or not his deafness (total irreparable nerve death in left ear at age 4-5) will be passed down genetically. So, we're looking for classes in the Boston area, preferably nights or weekends. Any ideas? Thank You in advance :hug:

1. You might want to try to contact Clarke School for the Deaf

and see if they have an adult education program there.

If not, then Northeastern University has a program for ASL.

(I'm googling off these stuff) - My college best friend went to Clarke School, so I know about it.

It's an Oral School... I went there as a summer student for two weeks in 1993. All oral, no sign language.

I suggest to Sniffa that he get Cochlear Implants if he has decent medical insurance. It will restore his hearing digitally.

3. It won't work...

He has some rare freaky kind of deafness, and complete nerve death. The Docs said it won't work. Besides, he kinda identifies with it, since he's been that way most of his life, y'know?

They link to ASL classes for hearing adults or for D/HoH adults. I think they're in Allston.
