9. Petitioning will be a challenge |

See if you can take advantage of local gathering places. We've done registrations on school campus or given forms to the student body. I've hit the 5:30am coffee crowd at the local diner for sigs, Little League games and BBQ's. Taking along a well known resident would be VERY important in my area. Good Luck!

8. House parties, post cards |

gatherings of any kind. Also, rural areas can be walked. It works well if one person drives from house to house and the other hits the doors.

i'm using the VAN to get addresses, and sending a letter of introduction as well as some brief info on our statewide and candidates.
if anyone has any ideas for outreach for unregistered voters i'd be happy to see any and all suggestions. :)

7. Do all states have a VAN? |
|
We have one in MI maintained by the Mi. Dem party and I use it all the time. What a useful tool! The more voters who get identified the more useful it is. I just finished a mailing to 4400 people in my county identified as "strong Dems" on our VAN. It's a letter of solicitation for my state House candidate. What a job that was!!

I dunno about New Mexico but will find out very soon
here in AZ the Democratic Party HQ has precint lists by street of all voters and party affiliation as well as whether or not they voted in the last 6 elections
so the more times they voted the "stronger" they were
