I had a nice chat with an older couple at a precinct chair meeting |
|
I attended recently. They mentioned that they were new chairs and new to Charlotte and also, get this, new to the Democratic Party. We chatted a little longer and I asked why they changed party affiliation. Sounds like they had always been pretty moderate, liked Clinton and voted for him, but that Bush had finally driven them completely over the edge.
I was impressed. It is one thing to dislike Bush, even change your party affiliation, but to take action and become a Demo activist, that takes grit.

2. Bush is one of the best recruiters we've ever had... |

Independents and Liberal Republicans are flocking to the Democratic Party because of him.
