1. Voter registration by a wide margin.

Canvass second. Hate phone banking, go figure :shrug:

I'm sending out emails next week and calling the folks who's email i don't have.....

5. Been doing mostly computer work for about the last 2 months

Started with 3 days a week for about 4 hours. Now doing 4 days for about 4 hours. Expect the last 2 weeks of the campaign to do 5 days a week.

What have I been doing?

Scanning data from phone banks and walks into the VAN.
Inputting volunteer and yard sign data into the VAN.
Inputting phone bank volunteer dates and times into the VAN.
Inputting miscellaneous and related notes into the VAN.
Inputting election day volunteer data into the VAN.
Input LTTE data with source, date and focus of letter into VAN.
Merge predictive phone bank results into the VAN. (Eliminates need to scan most data)
Creating Google maps of voting locations and precincts.
Research high schools and created Google maps with address and phone contact of Social Studies Dept Chair. (Students are permitted time off from school to work as poll book workers.)
Create Google maps of Labor Unions with address and phone.
Scanned obtained newspaper articles for campaign production.
Assembling yard signs.

6. Anything but phone banking!

I can not stand it! The problem comes in when you are asked to run one and you have an inability to say no.

7. Fundraising and party building

I really love fundraising and it goes hand in hand with party building. Some years ago I convinced my local party that we needed to do some marketing and I sent out a membership mailing. It was so successful we do it every year. It costs about $350 or so to send out about 1400 letters and, so far it's been less than two months since sending the latest one out and I have taken in a ten-fold return on our money. Not only do we ask people for financial support, we list all the ways they can volunteer. Heading into campaign season we already have a healthy bank balance and a small army of volunteers ready to go.

Additionally I enjoy putting together events for fundraising. It's a lot of work but putting together a successful event is very rewarding. Great fun.
