I will file for re-election as Precinct Delegate this week!

I was first elected in 2006.

Precinct delegates in Michigan elect the delegates to the Rules, Credentials, and Resolutions committees for Michigan Democratic Party Conventions; introduce and vote on resolutions for adoption by the state Party at those conventions'; and elect members of County/District Democratic Executive Committees.

At this August's convention I plan on introducing at least one resolution, though I'm not sure of the topic.

Actually, in most precincts it's not even a contested race. Oftentimes there aren't enough people to fill all of the precinct delegate spots!
