Stuart Rothenberg predicts Dems netting six seats and picking up the Senate. Webb favored over Allen in VA. Casey beats Santorum in PA. MT, RI, MO, OH pick-ups for Dems. TN Tossup. NJ Tossup. Also, he now predicts a 34 to 40 seat pickup in House.

28. My prediction: Win not big; soon after, most found fixed.
My prediction is that Democrats will pick up less than 20 seats in the House and gain perhaps just three in the Senate, with every *close* race "miraculously" coming in as a "win" for the Republicans. Then, slowly, a smattering of small inquiries will turn up a *flood* of massive vote fraud and election rigging in a dozen or so close races, but just as in 200 & 2004, it will be too late to change the outcomes because the investigations took too long (or came too late).

They can only steal *close* elections, decided by 5 points or less. Besides outright vote theft, there is the "too few machines", "tossed ballots" and "roll scrubing" dirty tricks they used in years past to make just enough difference to change the outcome of close races.

Just my prediction. Mark my words.

5. I'm not predicting a winner; I'm saying it's rigged.
If I was a pollster or expert, I would not issue a prediction without the qualification that other major factors apart from how people vote can affect the outcome.

My biggest issue is with our tendency to focus on polls and statisticians this close to the election. I'd rather experts talk about the security of the election system than predicting the future.

I hope you'll forgive my cynicism, MissWaverly. :hi:

7. I think CNN is setting themselves up to challenge any suspicious results
Couple this with Lou Dobbs talking about voting machines and I think that CNN is preparing to challenge any "GOP wave" that goes against all pre-election polling and exit polling.

24. And didn't Tweety mention some number to call for "irregularities"?
It seems that everyone is getting into the act.

Stealing an election won't be so easy this year, it seems.

If the GOP remains even or gains ONE seat, there will be.... trouble.

in the very last week before the election is demonstration enough that rigged or not, the GOP is expecting a big big big loss.

20. To campaign for hapless Bill Sali
In addition to 2 Cheney vists, the GOP and Club For Growth have had to pump $1,000,000 into the Idaho 1st Congressional District race, for a seat that usually goes 2-1 Republican. Bill Sali has been tagged as "Million Dollar Bill, Bought & Sold". Even if he wins, which will be a disaster and embarrassment for Idaho (he makes the late Helen Chenoweth look like a thoughtful moderate), the GOP will have been forced to a lot of campaign cash for what should have been a gimme, money that would have been spent elsewhere. I'm hoping Larry Grant pulls it off. If the wave hits 35 or 40 seats he'll probably ride it in. Polls show him getting 3/4 of the independent vote, and virtually 100% of Democrats' votes.

17. If so, then impeachment will be a requirement, by we the Party.
There will be investigation. Many, many heads will roll, including Cheney by the hand of a Democratic House.

However, Bush will Not be impeached unless we take both the House and Senate. He would only be castrated by a Democratic House.

Here's hoping we get both and can send him packing to the House of Saud.

18. My Take
I think we are In great shape to take both the House, and Senate. My gut has been telling me that Webb Is more likely than Ford to win and the experts now agree with me.The fact Schumer Is putting money back In Arizona Is a sign that If a wave hits Republicans there Is a chance Kyl could be knocked out too.We can do Investigations of Bush but Bush will not be Impeached and removed from
Office.Even if all Democrats were to vote for It(not a given)we could Impeach him but not be able to
remove him.We would be better served to finally act on Feingold's censure resolution. The Day when
Bush has to work with Democrats Is going to be great to see.Now this doesn't mean all our problems will be over. There will be the problems keeping the DINOS voting with us at times, and Bush will
still be wanting to keep Iraq going but we will finally have oversight.

19. Solid analysis.
I'll settle for oversight. The unitary executive must be rolled back before our republic becomes an Empire. Congress needs to check the power of the President. If we can do that, I will be satisfied.

32. Repealling the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act
Would be good for starters, but even better, to wait until a Dem is president and he can use those same powers to bugger bu$h and his evil doer crime syndicate.(Reptilicans and all their buddies)

100 years behind bars would be a good start.

Then maybe we can revive this nation, and start back on the road to the 'greatest nation on earth'

maybe.

There's a lot of work to done, and undone.

Okay, that's unlikely. Impeachment is increasingly likely, conviction nearly impossible. Censure would sure be fun.

22. need help with project
I don't have enough posts to start a thread. Could someone start a thread in the appropriate forum with this information.
It deals with YouTube.
Thanks,
A2

My friend Alec Emerson has written a poem called George and Jesus.
Alec writes lots of poems but this one hits the nail on the head. It is
both truthful and powerful. I’m asking everyone on YouTube who
likes the poem to videotape a version of someone reading it, place
it on their YouTube site and show a link to the following website
http://george-and-jesus-the-facts.info/
You will have to copy and paste the link to go to the site.
Also, please send this to anyone you know who might be interested,
and please, quickly. Something this powerful, if we can get it rolling
on the Internet, can create a huge buzz.

Introduction:

This poem was written by Alexander Forbes Emerson, the great great
grandson of the philosopher poet Ralph Waldo Emerson. Alec’s brother,
William ‘Bing’ Emerson, died on November 20, 1968, fighting in Viet Nam.
The title of the poem is “George and Jesus”.

GEORGE AND JESUS

He thinks he’s cool with Jesus,
a pious man of God,
and he loves
his secret prisons, and
his faith-based cattle prod.

And now that torture’s cool, by
his imperial decree,
I just can’t wait to watch it, on
Reality TV.

He thinks he’s cool with Jesus.
He plays golf while soldiers die.
And only when deep in the rough,
is he sorry for his lie.

He thinks he’s cool with Jesus.
He thinks he’s got the goods.
Well, if this guy’s cool with Jesus,
then my name is Tiger Woods.

And now the deaths of thousands
hang upon his lies,
he’s as sorry as that crocodile,
with teardrops in his eyes.

He calls our soldier heroes,
sneaks their caskets home at night.
He cuts their VA benefits,
Even as they fight.

He poses as a warrior,
with his twisted bunch.
But when warriors fought in Vietnam,
he never threw a punch.

He says he’s patriotic.
Hides his lies behind the flag.
He treats the Constitution
like it was a rag.

He says he’s cool with Jesus.
His pledge is Skull and Bones.
His screaming oath inside its crypt,
outside all Christian zones.

More bodies are on this guys hands,
than you and I can count.
And if you think he’s cool with Jesus, then
read The Sermon on the Mount.

Edited on Fri Nov-03-06 08:27 AM by INdemo
I happen to be watching CNN when Greenfield was on with this prediction. It seems like other networks have various guests waiting in the green room to counter other networks stories..For example right after Greenfield made this comment Tweety had a guest on spinning how the Repubs could keep control if this happen or that happen..this stuff will drive a person nuts but its obvious Karl Rove isn't sure what to do next. But for certain we won't see him waving a white flag.
The phony front loaded polls we see that are changing almost on an hourly basis that show Repub gains is another effort by the MSM to try and keep the Repukes head above water..
