2. This scenario is played out over and over by the Dem's like a broken record |

Pugs just have to wait for the inevitable, stupefying extended hand to chop off at the neck. This is a dangerous gamble even for a very smart politician. As he is an aficionado on Lincoln he needs to learn from that. Lincoln extended a hand to what turned out to be mortal enemies who connived for his demise and finally got assassinated for his trouble.

3. Is it that he's 'smarter' or just a wishful thinker? |

Reaching out to those who have a strong history of backstabbing seems dangerous to me. I hear more and more bothersome news every day. Most recent was he's not going after Bush for torture. There comes a point when turning the other cheek cannot be considered. If, (god forbid) anything happens to Obama, will he have set up the slime-balls in positions of authority to screw us again? I can't believe some of these leopards will change their spots. Their deeds are too vast and gruesome.
