Michele Bachmann Event Rocked By Occupy Wall Street Protesters

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/10/michele-bachmann-occupy-wall-street-protesters_n_1086607.html?ref=politics

Mount Pleasant Patch relays part of a prepared statement read by the protesters:
http://mountpleasant-sc.patch.com/articles/bachmann-talks-foreign-policy-at-yorktown#video-8403501

"This will only take a minute. We have a message for Mrs. Bachmann. You capitalize on dividing Americans. Claiming people that disagree with you are unpatriotic socialists. And you promote discrimination. This does not help the American People."

30. She's running alright...
...right out of town hall meetings.

Way to face the music. Reason enough not to elect her.

12. Did she run and hide in the bathroom again?
Like that time when one of her lesbian constituents dared to confront her about her stance on gay marriage?

34. She did both
Hid in the bushes outside the state capitol while a GLBT gathering was going on there.
Hid in a school lavatory after a town hall, 2 women (not lesbians, just 2 women who were there together) asked her a question, Bachmann claims they blocked her in there.

I was just making a joke based on her running out of the town hall.

4. One of the commentators on the MP papers site
and Bachman herself call it "rude" and "blocking her right to free speech." Funny they didn't have a problem with it when the TB's were shouting down Democratic Representatives speeches.

It's apparently only rude when our side does it.

They are just jealous because "Occupy" is growing bigger, larger, and stronger, than they ever hope to be.

15. She is a horse's ass but I disagree with the strategy of disrupting her or shouting her down.
The idea of free speech is that all ideas will be heard and the commons will determine which will stand.

25. Same here. I absolutely loath her,
But if we criticized it when the tea party did it, the point is still the same. What I am hoping for are more Joe Walsh meltdowns. There he had all the freedom of speech to sound like a maniac, and the woman who challenged him had all the free speech to show she should be the next rep.

27. "All ideas will be heard"?
Think about how many media appearances Michelle Bachmann has made and is making and what she's doing in those appearances: taking advantage of an unfettered, uninterupted forum to lie her ass off about why the economy is bad ("Itx all Obammy's fawlt, LOLZ"). Now picture it not just being her saying this, but Dick Armey, Grovel Nerdquist, Jim DeMint, any Republican presidential candidate, etc.

Now think about how many unfettered, uninterrupted forums liberal economic ideas get, media or otherwise.

I dunno, are those TeaHadists that police are suppressing and beating in the streets?

Should I somehow feel SORRY for Michele Bachmann because in this one relatively tiny forum, OWS has a brief but louder voice (which, conveniently, you didn't hear on this news report, you just heard "USA USA" chants and she walks off), when she's been on channel after channel lying and promoting Reaganomics??

It'd be nice if the notion of the First Amendment would be fairly applied to all people in this country. It's completely naive to think that it IS in practice, however.

Somehow, I don't think Michele Bachmann will be silenced.

22. Ron Paul has been in her MN District more than she has this year
She does NOTHING for her constituents. Yes, I know, I know...she won.
But all her "I'm from Iowa! I'm an Iowan!" and town halls everywhere but MN-CD6 makes her vulnerable, IMO.
There's got to be a point where people who reside in the district with the highest foreclosure rate want a change...right? Maybe? (sighs)

29. LOL....remember how she acted during the health care debate?
Encouraging right-wingers to disrupt townhall meetings and even said "we must slit our wrists and become blood brothers" in our effort to stop health care reform.

Not so fun when it's done back at you, is it Michelle? And instead of addressing the protesters you walked off the stage. Yeah, you REALLY are ready to listen to the American people when their ideas are different from yours, aren't you?

How will she hold up as POTUS when the Russians get testy? How will she do in negotiations with the North Koreans when they become difficult? And what if her finger's on the Nuclear Football when Iran thumbs its nose at her?

I got a bad feeling about this...:scared:

She will freely spew her venom and hate to any who will listen - but should you dare to raise a voice to oppose her, it seems she crumbles. Should this woman ever become President - or even come close to becoming President, I am taking my tin foil hat and moving to Mars.
