Thanks to the recent crackdown on illegal immigration across America - thousands of children - who are American citizens - are being ripped from their mothers and fathers and thrown into foster care to grow up. Children are among the most underrepresented and powerless people in our society. And the children of undocumented immigrants are the "last of the least" in terms of power and influence in our society. This situation where they find themselves - through no fault of their own - the victims of a cruel and dysfunctional system should provoke all of us to demand change.
