1. He is basically a nutter. |

But I liked this. Finally at what may be the last minute and only because of the #OWS movement the business media is somewhat playing a critical role.
Wake up folks, if nothing is done, we are done.

3. When you get Jim Cramer reailing against the GOP... |

you're in trouble. Normally he annoys the hell out of me but he was dead on with his commentary here. This meme that the government can never do any good has got to go. He was right. Who built the interstate system? Who built the damns? Who built the TVA that brought affordable electricity to the South?
It sure as hell wasn't corporate America because they couldn't figure out how to do it and make 1,000% profit on it.

I'm considering switching to capybaras. Or chupacabras.
What, exactly, IS the right thing to say when a long-deluded conservative (and OF COURSE the deluded ones proselytize, that's one of the best ways to sustain a delusion) figures something out correctly?
It does happen. Sometimes it's part of a long waking-up process, sometimes it just seems random, sometimes even a nutjob sees clearly on one subject.
What's the appropriate response? How do you tell if they're slowly getting smarter or just random?

15. Jim has always been a nuanced kind of guy. |
|
This isn't surprising to me at all. It's exactly what I would have expected from him.
Cramer is the type of guy who can keep two separate beliefs alive in his head at the same time. First, there is whatever he thinks is best for the good of the country as a whole. Secondly, there is whatever he thinks is good for stock market returns.
Generally, he defaults to whatever he thinks is good for stock market returns in his public positions. I have no idea how he votes or what he believes privately.
His show is *very* populist in nature and is geared towards giving the small investor the tools and ability to compete with the big Wall Street traders.
A very typical thing for him to say on his show would be something like, now that the Republicans have beaten those Bolshevik Democrats out of the House, we can get back to a government that is of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations.
Does that mean he agrees with us? Well, kind of.
If nothing else, he sees things the way they really are. The only difference between him and a liberal is that he is willing to go along with it, and even cheerlead, if he thinks it will make him and his listeners money.
He's all about the stock returns.
