2. Dying to prove their faith, because taking that medicine means they have none. |
|
A friend in the Assembly of God church I went to, lost her mother to cancer when we were both in high school. She refused medical treatment, because our pastor said that god told him she was already healed, that she just had to believe and claim it in Jesus name. Apparently, she didn't have enough faith. I'll never forget how she suffered at the end. The same AOG pastor lost his first wife to cancer a few years before that. I wonder if he told her the same thing? :puke:

Telling her to trust her faith was cheaper than divorce.

6. It's the same old schtick |

Used by Oral Roberts, Philippine tumor removers, Benny Hinn, Peter Popoff, etc. The different outcomes always put blame on the afflicted and not on the "healer."
1. The healing didn't work/affliction is getting worse? You didn't have enough faith in God. Show your faith by giving me money, and you will be healed. 2. The affliction has stopped getting worse? Hallelujah, I am God's vessel on Earth. Give me more money so I can continue your and other people's healings. 3. The affliction is gone? Show God your appreciation and how deep your faith is by giving me money. 4. Oh, he died? He didn't have enough faith in God to heal him. Don't be like he was - show your belief in God by sending me money.

9. "Thou shalt not tempt The Lord, Thy God" This church needs to read it's scripture closer. |
|
If you believe, pray certainly, but seek treatment. Give other people a chance to lend a hand as well.
