3. I love the entire concept, and his reasons for doing it. The height isn't safe in most places...

The aerodynamics of the windscreen, roof, sides, etc. is important, but somehow more height and width needs to factored in. Many motorcyclists have a similar problem in traffic with bigger, wider vehicle drivers simply 'not registering' their presence. Especially at higher speeds and on crowded roadways with a variety of driving behaviors such as lane changes, entrance and exit speeds.

I see a bright future for this young man and hope that he will be able to market what he's creating. In some areas, this might be all that one needs to commute. I'll bet he gets a scholarship to go to college and pursue engineering if that is what he wants. He might be better off though, to go out on his own.

Isn't it a shame that the auto manufacturers just want to build
cars that will cost $16K and up?

I'd like to see those Tutus from India get imported.

People bring up the fact that the small cars are at risk
of getting hit but I ride motorcycles and they are the
most likely to suffer in an accident but they are all over
the place. You learn to drive defensively.

I'm glad he could show it can be done.
Now we need a kit!!!!

I wish I had friends like him when I was his age. That, and you didn't dare touch the step-dad's tools in the garage. I loved to build stuff when I was a kid. When I was little, I tried to build a glider and launch it from the roof of my fathers garage. After being dug out from beneath a pile of splintered scrap wood, 15 feet later, I understood the basic principles of flight. I also understood that I had not applied them correctly to my project.
