1. I know that and you know that and Sean Penn knows that. |
|
And maybe the President even knows that. But there's nothing we can do about it because we are looking forward not backward. If you're gonna commit a crime, make it a REALLY BIG one. For everything else, they look backward.

Sean Penn is right on the money, but because most Americans Glorify and worships war and the military, they have this immoral motto that One must always stand behind your country and your president no matter what, and I feel if our troops did the same thing as Hitler and his troops did this same sector of Americans would defend their actions, because most are brainwashed, and buy the propaganda that our pentagon ans warmongering leaders tell us Americans, that we are always good guys, our motives are always noble,we are only defending Israel, and our national security and strategic Interest, and that we are defending western civilization from the Afro/Asiatic Muslim and Arab Devils.

Lying to a federal official is a crime.
Henry Cisneros served time (as I recall) for lying on a loan application.
It seems to me that Bush and Cheney lied to Congress and to the world. If lying to Congress isn't a crime, it should be.
Bush and Cheney as I understand it claim they didn't know there were no weapons of mass destruction. I do not believe them. The way the troops were sent in suggests to me (based on the history of the kind of damage done to troops engaged in battles in which chemical weapons were used) that Bush and Cheney and the top brass in our military knew very well that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction.
Was Saddam Hussein a horrible dictator? Yes. Did he massacre Shiites? Yes.
But he did not, at the time of our invasion, have weapons of mass destruction. In my opinion, Bush and Cheney lied to officials of the federal government. Whether I am right or wrong should be determined by a court. Whether they are guilty or innocent should be decided by a jury.
I acknowledge that even Bush and Cheney are innocent until proven guilty -- and I think that their guilt or innocence should be decided by our justice system, not by bureaucrats sitting on their hands.
Is it murder to lie our country into war?
I don't know the answer to that. Let a jury decide.
