From May 2010, an exchange between Michael D Higgins (who was elected President of Ireland last year) and Tea Party-loving radio guy Michael Graham on Irish radio.

I got tears in my eyes listening to this. We never hear politicians being this honest and clear and powerful anymore. They parse their words so carefully now it drives me nuts.

This is so worth watching.

And as Simon Rosenberg of the DLC famously said they wanted to get money from sources that meant they did not have to worry about the wishes of "traditional constituents." In other words they wanted to shut out the left.

7. I remember that too. I wonder how long it will take

the progressive wing of the Dem Party to realize they are not welcome in the party anymore. Only at election time when their votes are needed.
