written by Daniel Tammet who is diagnosed with Asperger's and is also a savant. He was on "60 Minutes" recently and is a very impressive person. His insights into his situation, both his phenomenal abilities and his profound anxieties, are extremely helpful in understanding what really is going on inside his mind. Highly recommended.

I saw Daniel on '60 Minutes' and I was very impressed with him.
I'm definitely going to get his book.

by Elizabeth Moon is a science fiction piece whose central character is autistic. It's told in the 'first person' - so you get a peek into how his mind works.
I don't know how accurate it is for sure, but it seems pretty realistic.
Very interesting book. I'm not sure I really liked how it ended, but . . . a good read, nonetheless.
