I also refuse to start any self indulgent threads detailing my own personal opinions, motives and moods about how I stand above the Democratic Party.

Although overly dramatic and highly personal ego centric threads about what "I" am going to do are Haute Culture I refuse to post anythread that frames the issue in the egocentric "I".

That's just the way I am.

I know that this will be a great disappointment to all of you who were waiting until I made a royal pronouncement on how I stand but you simply don't understand how I work.I just don't do such things.

I will argue issues and points of view from time to time but you can all assume that those opinions come from and not some other person who has stolen my DU identity.

I intend to support the nominees of the party in the general election, and there is atleast a 60% chance that I will support the President in the next Presidential Primaries.

Again I plan to support the Democratic Party recognizing that political control in a Democracy is not a botique but an organized effort to advance a common front. I realize that I won't agree with every point or every candidate these upcoming elections but that is the trade off, if you want to actually achieve power and have an impact on real issues then you actually have to find common cause.

Now I know that this will be a crushing blow to all of the people who were waiting for more self indulgent, self promoting threads glorifying my unique pure and decidedly outside status to a political movement but sorry,

that's just not the way I roll.

The self appointed "Bishops" of leftwing orthodoxy have defined what they consider to be the only legitimate liberal position and now have projected 36 months into the future who they will be supporting in Presidential primaries, even though no candidates have actually announced.

They act like an Olympic high jumpers each one trying to lift the bar to a higher and higher position.

By increasingly restrictive loyalty tests they continue to restrict the number of true Democrats that they will support until in the near future not a single Democrat Congressman or Senator will qualify for their valued support.

Lost, of course, is the fact that political power is gained by persuading people to join a point of view and building a common front with as much broad agreement as possible.

I have a feeling there will be one or two people left that they will want in power and those are the ones that they have been pushing all along. There might be others still in the running, but mostly it will be the ones that are really seen as messiahs to the left wing. And these are people that are so left they will probably never gain the majority of the votes. In the mean time, I am getting way too down these days.
