OMG I think I know what Obama's doing.

You know how he's getting blamed for not doing enough to get the message out on healthcare last summer? Well, maybe it was on purpose.
Maybe Obama allowed the drama to play out on television, so he could wait for the right time (that would be now) to use it against the GOP. Because this is an election year, it would be the ideal time to do it. Maybe that's what today's smackdown was all about.

2. Obama is smart and shrewd

I don't know if it was planned this way but compare it to Lincoln and the timing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Since Obama is a big Lincoln fan, you may have something there?
Personally I think he's doing the best he can do and I would be surprised if he was that much in control. His real strength, and ours, is that we aren't ideological. I notice "conservatives" scoffing at that notion, expressed by Obama, as "conservatives" scoff at me when I tell them that. The problem is that "conservatives," as usual, are scoffing at the truth.

5. healthcare and the mid-terms too.

When I saw him do that town hall this week, I thought that the mid-term campaign season had begun.
I don't know if the timing was planned, but it looks like he figured that the Dems needed some strong moral support just about now. As head of the party, he's the one to do it. There is no reason for Dems to be all weak in the knees. None at all.

6. Planned or otherwise - it's good to see him back in top form
|
He certainly took it right to the Republicans and they proved that their only reason for existence is to oppose him - logic or policy be damned.
