I swear I don't know how he does it but he always brings the exact right sense of urgency and responsibility to every moment.

5. I didn't think I'd ever cry again like I did the night he won the election |
|
but I did. I remember reading Harry Truman's words about healthcare for all Americans (1945) and thinking we've finally getting there.

6. When he talked about how he came around to getting into politics -- |
|
Edited on Sat Mar-20-10 05:10 PM by quiet.american
-- that touched on my core view of Obama - and why my support for him does not waver. When people call him a "corporatist" or "sellout," it's just an irrational accusation to me, having been aware of him since the time when I was donating to his Senate campaign, and having observed him do his best to put the well-being and best interests of citizens first on every issue.
He is the president, and yet, always so real with whomever he is speaking to....
I am on pins and needles. I know that Obama said that a victory on this will be victory for us - but, dangit, I really want this victory for him, too.

10. I am a Senior an I can't remember any President with the |
|
energy and the passion to get things done as President Obama has displayed on this issue -- he has been all over the Television, all over this country talking to the people.
We are not talking about Fire Side Chats, we are talking about ENERGY and PASSION and ability to fight under tremendous pressure.
He has YOUTH on his side and I am just so thrilled ~ I pray that tomorrow will bring good news for millions of Americans.
God Bless and Protect our President.
