| I felt rather lonely defending Stupak here at DU |
|
Hopefully, his smackdown of the Republicans has shown that he can be and often is a good Dem and is an asset in getting President Obama's agenda enacted.

| 2. He was very impressive when he spoke tonight. He seemed very disgusted with the republicans. |

| 3. I passed something on that you said( I think it was you) |
|
about Stupak today before his speech that I haven't heard but could tell it was good from the reactions of some DUers.
About him voting against the IWR?

| 5. I've mentioned Stupak's vote against the IWR in a number of posts... |
|
and in one, provided a link showing the roll call vote on it along with links to other votes such as NAFTA.

| 4. It was noticed, but tonight was the first time I experienced him advocate as a DEM. |
|
But, since I've had a bit of experience in being a target for standing up for my guy -- good work!

| 6. He done good tonight. It was like the nuns got to him -- or maybe Madam Speaker |
|
... who I am pretty sure was schooled by nuns herself.
I was impressed with Mr. Stupak tonight, and you may tell him I thank him. He's going to have a lot of *former* friends, and it may be lonely for awhile.
