| President Obama is not a Libertarian..He is a liberal |
I have been seeing a lot again questioning President Obamas liberal stances. He has kept his promises, and he ran as a liberal Democrat.. he is a liberal Democrat..and it hit me..
Some people have confused libertarian, progressive, and liberal. They have a jumbled up view, that comprises all of those things together.. and that is one thing the President is not.. is a libertarian.

| 1. Wow, if people are going that far on this site, then grantcart's observation about the irrelevance |
of DU was only a glimmer of how truly irrelevant this place has become.

| 2. The president could be best described as a liberal although his willingness to work |
with others to get things accomplished will often allow others to paint him as a centrist. Plus I think the real fight is over the liberal title. I think it was a mistake to give up our liberal heritage to the President's critics. We have just as much right to our ideology as they have.
