NORFOLK-- A local Marine will celebrate the Fourth of July with President Obama.
"He said, 'you want to go to the White House?' I thought it was a joke. The White House?"
Cpl. Jajci Johnson, of Norfolk, is one of 111 military members chosen to celebrate Independence Day on the White House lawn.
His family says his Lieutenant selected him because of his leadership and discipline.
"I''m very proud of him," mother Barbara Cooper-Wood said.
Cooper-Wood will go to the party as her son's guest.
They'll enjoy a dinner, a speech by the President and of course, fireworks.
