1. Not really meaningful until we have photographic evidence of bumper sticker removal. |

No, I missed that. I try not to go over there too often now that I've gotten all snug & comfy over here.

|
I have no money to give to groups I believe in never mind MoveOn. I've been wanting to scrap them for a a long time but just got motivated after the most recent email asking for money.

7. They've definitely done a few things that have set my teeth on edge. |
|
Apparently with this plea for money, they don't believe that an imperfect bill would be a start. They want it born perfect.
Well, so do I, in an ideal world. But I don't live in that world. I live in a world inhabited by progressives, conservatives, conservadems, teabaggers, lobbyists, etc. If people think that anything NEAR perfection could come about with hardly any sweat, they need to stop smokin' whatever they're smokin', or conversely, find something better to smoke!

Evangelicals are the same way. Narrow minded and bitter.

They definitely fit with "The perfect is the enemy of the good" meme. If the hcr bill isn't perfect, they want to kill it. Glad most of them weren't old enough or even around when Social Security first came into being.

I wonder, would they want to kill that also if given the chance? King Dean or something?
I once heard a conservative say at the start of the Iraq war that he wished that Bush could just rule and not have to put up with liberals, I wonder if some of the angry people on the far left who want "perfection" would say the same in reverse?

I've read some threads (heck, many threads) with people yelling because Obama won't sign this or that executive order, yet they yelled like a scalded cat when Bush did it.

23. I got an email several weeks ago that I felt was |
|
very anti-Obama and I did the dumping. It was at the same time that Michael Moore and some others were on their soap boxes and I had just had it. I don't worship Barack as the Messiah but I don't consider him the anti-Christ either. I am tired of those who have to have him one or the other. When he does what they want they kiss his feet and when he doesn't do what they want they stab him in the back. My goodness, I have never known a perfect human and I don't plan on knowing any before I die either. Geeesh.
Don't forget that I have met Barack in person several times (not a buddy or anything, just talked to him) and I have seen his feet of clay.

I even went on a mini-march in front of Carper's office, for the public option, back in the summer.
Carper never would commit one way or the other.

22. This organization became a sell out |
|
they raise a million dollars on the anti-Liberman campaign so they had no choice but oppose a good bill. It's said that an organization that was created to stop the tearing down of President Clinton, by the GOP has become just like what they were created to fight.
