Just emailed Prez Obama with a letter of thanks and support

There's a lot of whining going on now from the left and the right who have evidently joined forces to bring down the Health Bill but an important, hard earned step was taken today without them.

5. I should follow up as well.

The last letter I sent was to oppose the stupid trigger idea being floated by Snowe et al. At this point, I'm almost happy to see them focusing on improving the core of the bill which will affect FAR more people than the public option would have (& sooner). I am still hopeful that a public option can be added into the exchanges at a later date. They already require one non-profit and I don't see it as too much of a stretch to add in a public plan for those who still can't get insurance after the exchanges (& other provisions) are in place.

11. My last two letters were more negative than positive also.

I wrote to him on two issues that bothered me. One had to do with the HCR bill and the other had to do with a statement he issued. Did not rake him over the coals but did point out what I felt would hurt us in the HCR bill and the error that would hurt him in the statement. I was honest with him when I talked to him in person and will be so now in any communications I send to him. He doesn't know me from Adam and I send it to the mass email link like everyone else, but it is important to me that I say what I think. :shrug:

If he did know me from Adam he would probably just laugh at my presumption that I could tell him what to do. ;)
