After I vote, I'm driving an hour to take my 97-year-old dad to the polls |

He's voting for Obama, too.
He recently moved to a residential care facility. We called the county clerk and were informed he could vote in his old precinct. This didn't surprise me since it happened once to me too, when I moved a few days before the election.
That's how it's done in California.

i used my friend bobby's address for 10 years after i'd moved out of the precinct because i was transient for a while, and then because i liked going there to vote. no BS ever.
