| Did just under 300 miles yesterday. Sturgis preride butt conditioning. |
|
I did another leg of my ride around the state yesterday. I rode up to East Liverpool, Ohio via Pittsburgh, found the northmost point of my state, crossed back over the Ohio River and then backtracked until I was able to stand at the water's edge of WV. Then I got back to Rt. 2 and followed it south along the river to Moundsville, WV. The mound was not what I expected. From there I cut back across the state to whence I began, 287 miles round trip.
My butt ached, but not as bad as last week's 200-miler over in the state's Eastern Panhandle. Its all getting in tune with nature and getting my butt in shape for a possible Sturgis run. Its just over 1500 miles from here and I'm 61 so this requires some thought. Trailers are for boats and trucks are for farms; I did not buy a bike from The Motor Company in order to haul it around on the top of something else.
If it doesn't rain tonight and tomorrow maybe I can get some more 'conditioning' in. Wave at the old guys, one of them just might be me.

Same age as me. Yeah, the day after a long ride, the leg just doesn't want to get flung over the seat to ride again. I think I was more flexible a few decades ago.
I think I'd get thrown out of Sturgis, though. Mine's not American iron.
