| Austrians: Germans, without the sense of humor |
|
At least, that's my conclusion after spending the day trying to mount a simple tool tube on the KTM. :D
All I wanted was a place to put some tools, the ones I grab a lot when I fall over and break stuff, somewhere clever on the bike. I was tired of strapping the tool roll on the top of the rear rack, or bringing the side cases everywhere.
Tool tube. Not a big deal. But for some reason, Austrians have a sinister sense of humor about the order in which things come off.
Apparently it is highly efficient to have to remove things far within the machine in order to safely access things on the outside. This defies the laws of physics, but our friends in Mattighofen care not for your laws. :D

post pictures.
This sounds like something I could use on my BMW. The tool tray is a pathetic little thing. In the US, we'd call it an ashtray. I already have one sidebag (box) that's almost full, with tools and a rainsuit (the rainsuit is bulky).
BMW, from Bavaria. Like Austrians, but with a sense of humor? I gotta think about this. :hi:
