The Best Western University Plaza welcomed all to DSA's National Convention with a message on the hotel's marquee. The sign was a huge hit with delegates. It went up on November 11 and was still up when I left on November 16th.

Video from the DSA Convention is posted on a newly created DSA video channel at the vimeo Web site. The video was shot when we attempted to live stream some convention sessions. The sound quality on the video is very good, not at all like the sound in our effort to live stream these sessions. However, limitations on your own system may impact the quality of the sound that you hear.

The Friday night panel with Harold Meyerson, Bill Fletcher, Jr. and Kim Bobo was very popular. The plenary session on the economic crisis with John Cameron of AFSCME, Bill Barclay of Chicago DSA, and Michele Rossi from DSA's East Bay Local was also first rate. Additionally we have included In These Times Editor and Publisher, Joel Bleifuss' speech at the convention dinner.

Each speech is presented as a separate video. We plan to use this DSA video channel as a permanent vehicle for viewing DSA produced video, or video produced by DSA members or video featuring DSA members. I encourage member to subscribe to the channel as you will then be notified whenever a new video is posted.

DSA members with their own web sites or blogs can also post a widget on their site than enables visitors to see the DSA's latest video while they are visiting your site.
