| A DUer posted a link to a 1965 CBS documentary about abortion in GD. |

I just saw the thread, but I haven't watched the video yet. dancingAlone's response is especially poignant. She recommended that the OP cross-post it here, since it hasn't been yet I figured I'd do it. I'm off to watch the video now. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x1665043#1668931

I just went searching for some news to post. This is far more valuable than what I found today.
I often use Google + news. This time, there are several articles with forced birth positions including one horrid convoluted article about a 9 year old girl from Costa Rica, who's parents--(including the stepfather)Ended up taking the girl to Nicaragua for a "therapeutic abortion" with the help of the feminists of the Red de Mujeres Contra la Violencia, or Network of Women Against Violence. The child's rapist was originally thought to be a neighbor, but evidently turned out to be the stepfather. The article, takes a very strange high moral tone blaming the NWAV for the child living with her unidentified rapist, and uses it as a forced birth position. I'll post a link if anyone wants it but it's from very disgusting forced birth site.
Both the rape and any idea that the child should have born a child at 9, no matter what the circumstances are incomprehensible to me. The idea was to point out the "hypocrisy" of NWAV, I suppose but ends up sounding like a lunatic wrote it. Which no doubt is the case.

| 2. From what you describe, it sounds like their trying to paint the NWAV |
|
as pedophile enablers and I find that disgusting (the article - not the NWAV). What kind of cruel, sick fuck thinks a 9 year old should be forced to have a child?

...(sadly CA's gov.)who introduced the parental notification bill a few years ago on his "special election ballot." It went down in flames, but far more people voted for it than against it, which still disturbs my psyche.
Anyone that would vote for parental notification is in turn stating (in my eyes) that they would force a child to give birth, even in cases of rape or child molestation. These people assume all parents are "good parents" and never abusive.
