Who knows records?

I found a copy of what looks like a low numbered (0001589) Beatles White Album, but the jacket is in very poor condition. Records are okay. Does a low number in lousy condition have any value?

That is an extremely low number. I'm not sure of the value but I'd guess some collector would want it just for the low #. I'd try auctioning it and hope for maybe $25 to $50. Just a wild guess, really.

2. I guess that's what I'll do. What a disappointment it's in such

horrible shape. You'll never guess where I found it. A lady left a pile of records off at the local dump. Also got a decent copy of Abbey Road and beat up copy of Sgt. Pepper.

a number that low in NM condition would be several hundred $ i would guess.

I have a couple of those in the basement.

6. Probably nothing on ebay, but in a shop maybe $10.

I found a copy in good condition yesterday and I was going to be $20 on it for sale in the shop. Ebay drives me nuts when it comes to records. No matter what I find, someone has a copy on there in the original wrapper which makes everything else worthless.

4. Update on my low-numbered White Album.

I ended up putting it in the group shop where I rent space. Because of the condition, I decided I would feel more comfortable if people examined it on the spot. Anyhow, it ended up selling for $100, an amount I was certainly pleased with.
