Schildkrot doll

I picked up a Schildkrot Tortulon doll last week-end, #46. That would seem to make her Manuela, except this doll has curled hair and brown eyes. Does anybody know anything about these dolls, or have a Schildkrot book? Thanks!

1. Just a related thought

I didn't know what these were so I went looking. Seeing some of the earlier ones, it looks to me like the Ginny was modeled after some of these dolls - the round cheeked girls in folksy outfits. I have a Ginny that I got as a little girl and she's the spitting image of some of these Schildkrot dolls.
