Yesterday, at a church sale, I found an old photographic print of men playing cards. It was one of those bedlam sales where there are a million people descending on the "stuff" so I just grabbed it and put it in my bag. When I got home I noticed something very odd about the picture. All the men are the same person. Who could it be and why? There are no identifying marks other than an old, old sticker from "Gay's Gallery of Art" in Fall River, Massachusetts. The backing paper is all torn, so I might be able to take it apart to see if there is anything under the backer board. I hate to disturb it though, since otherwise the frame and everything is in pretty good condition. Has anyone every run into this one before? Sorry for the glare on the photo.
