| Anyone here worked through an e-bay agent? |
|
I have stuff that I'd like to sell--I know the market is lousy but the boxes just sit in the attic. I an not a computer whiz and the posting of photo's for e-bay would give me nightmares.
How much would an agent charge for a commission normally, anyone know? Do they handle the shipping? How are you reimbursed and are they responsible to e-bay for "good behavior".
Anyone used one?

usually includes shipping your items, and should have good feedback, 100% preferably. You have an account with them and they usually charge you a fee plus %age based on final price for selling for you. Look online for local agent sellers. i think ebay also has a list, but am not sure.

| 3. I have done this myself |

...on a few occasions back when I was more active on eBay.
I charged 35% of the final selling price, with the seller paying all fees. For that commission, I handled all aspects of listing, communication with customers, shipping, etc. I think this is about in the middle price-wise. Most eBay agents charge for listing items that don't sell, and many also have a minimum estimated value--say, $50--that they require before doing a listing.
The registered eBay seller who operates on your behalf is responsible to eBay, not the person who owns the goods.
Hope that is helpful.

learn how to do it. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple. (Sez me whose camera died and is now relying on my husband to take pictures with his camera. LOL.)
